Map & navigation

Open the full map, find services and follow GPS to your next stop.

Opening and reading the map

  1. Press ESC, then select Overview and click Explore the map. The preview opens the full GTA map.
  2. Pan and zoom to find your destination. Use the map legend and marker names to identify places; follow the controls shown on the map.
  3. Set a waypoint at your destination to get a purple GPS route. Set another waypoint to change your destination, or use the map controls to remove it.
  4. Press ESC or Back to close the full map and return to the world.

Finding bases and services

  • Truckmania Logistics: the trucking depot at the Los Santos docks. Visit the foreman to clock in and collect work rigs at the depot.
  • Scrap Yard Workshop: the mechanic base in Grand Senora. Find the foreman, parts counter and workshop facilities here.
  • Garages and impound lots: check the marker name for the location you need. Your starter car is stored in a public garage; the arrival notification tells you which one and sets GPS there.
  • Fuel stations: look for the fuel-pump markers. Plan a fuel stop before a long haul.
  • Shops: look for 24/7 Supermarket, Rob's Liquor, YouTool and clothing-store markers. Choose a store suited to the supplies you need.

Getting back to your class base

Use /class to choose a class. After your first spawn, selecting a class sets a normal purple waypoint to its base without moving you. You arrive off duty when you join a different class; clock in with the foreman to start work.

To get directions without changing class, press F6 or use /tablet. In Freight, choose Route to depot; in Roadside, choose Route to workshop. These buttons set a normal waypoint that you can clear from the map.

Following a work route

  • Freight adds a yellow job route automatically: to the depot before you have a rig, then to the loading point and delivery destination as the contract progresses. The tablet also offers Route to your current stop. After delivery, check Freight for a nearby backhaul or directions back to the depot.
  • Assigned truck and trailer markers help you find your rig. A marker labelled last known is its last reported position while it is outside streaming range.
  • Accepting a roadside call adds a yellow route to the vehicle. Tow assignments route to the wreck and then the drop-off. Check Roadside for your current assignment and use its Route button when you need directions again.

Using the minimap on the road

The minimap appears while you are in a vehicle. On foot, equip a watch in your inventory gear slot to show it. Street names and the area display help you describe your location when arranging a meeting or asking for help.

Check the full map before driving a truck into a tight approach. GPS leads you toward the destination; look for a suitable entrance and enough room for your trailer, then follow the on-screen instructions at the site.
